Bio
After graduating in 1997 from Yreka High School in Northern California, I attended the University of Oregon in Eugene. In the Spring of 2001 I received a Bachelor's degree from the School of Journalism and Communication at U of O. During college I was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and the nationally recognized Oregon Ducks cheerleading squad. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the Fall of 2001 to pursue a career in journalism. My career took a running start when I accepted a position as a marketing coordinator for KTVK 3TV. As a marketing coordinator for the station I helped to organize, develop and fulfill special events, marketing campaigns and community outreach programs for 3TV and our clients. I later worked as an account executive at 3TV selling television advertising and special promotion packages.
In 2005 I left 3TV to pursue freelance project management. Since 2005 I have worked with a variety of clients on projects large and small. In 2006 and 2007 I coordinated the stages and celebrity talent for the Arizona's Family Women's Expo. At the time the event was the second largest consumer event in the Southwest.
As a freelance project manager I have worked with celebrity talent such as Rusty Wallace, Shannon Wiseman, Suze Orman, Jane Seymour and Greg Berhendt as well as local talent and news media.
I spent several years working as a freelance special projects producer with MagicDust Television. My time with MagicDust included working as the automotive sponsor producer for NASCAR's only reality television show NASCAR Angels. As the automotive sponsor producer for NASCAR Angels, I was responsible for the inspection and repair of the recipient's vehicles as well as securing donations from local paint and body shops, interior/trim companies, automotive stereo companies and detailing companies. I also coordinated and produced product placement with major national sponsors such as Goodyear Gemini, Frito Lay, Parts Plus, Exide Batteries and Safelite.
As a writer and online marketing manager for a start-up shopping news site called TalkingShopping I gained experience in the world of online media. In addition to writing and developing original content for the site, I was responsible for increasing site traffic, building relationships with other media outlets and appearing as on-camera talent.
My husband BJ and I were married in 2004 and welcomed our daughter Lily to our family in August of 2009. We make our home in the Phoenix area and spend time visiting family and friends in Siskiyou County, California throughout the year.
